The Song of the Water

Sometimes I remember the first time we lost ourselves in the landslide,
as if the summer breeze
Was moving us up and over the mountain, in gusts of wind and surrender
into the open seas

Just like the butterflies fluttering into the light,
Are we going to crash and fall into the sun?
Just like the fireflies dancing into the night,
Are we going to rise again from the flames?

Sometimes in the song of the water, as if the river awakened
kisses in the storm
I hear my heart beat, I feel alive, I am breathing. Hold me close while we’re soaring high above the ground

Just like the butterflies fluttering into the light,
Are we going to crash and fall into the sun?
Just like the fireflies dancing into the night,
Are we going to rise again from the flames?
